Painting a Room
This calculator will determine the amount of paint needed for a room with four walls. Measure the length and width of the room and the height of the walls and enter those measurements in “Room Wall Sizes.” If you have baseboards, windows, doors, or trim molding, measure and enter those dimensions, too, for a more accurate total.

Painting One Wall
If you just want to calculate the amount of paint needed to paint one wall, enter the Length and Height of the wall, then enter “0” in the Width box. You can then include any measurements for baseboards, windows, doors or trim on that wall to calculate the amount of paint you’ll need.
